প্রথম পর্ব
বয়স 19 - এর তরুনী নাম নির্মলা। তৃতীয় বর্ষের ছাত্রী। সুন্দরী, সুশীলা, সুঠাম গঠন। এককথায় অসামান্যা সুন্দরী। বাড়ি বিহারের ভাগলপুর তবে থাকে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মুর্শিদাবাদে, তার মামার বাড়িতে। ছোট বেলা থেকে সেখানেই তার বড়ো হয়ে ওঠা। বহরমপুর কৃষ্ণনাথ কলেজের বাংলা অনার্সের ছাত্রী সে। মেধার তালিকায় সমস্ত কলেজের মধ্যে প্রথম পাঁচজনের মধ্যে নাম থাকে তার তবে এতকিছু গুনের অধিকারিণী হয়েও লেশমাত্র অহংকার নেই তার । কলেজে অনেক বন্ধু বান্ধবী থাকলেও হাতে গোনা কয়েকজন বন্ধু ছাড়া সেরকম কারো সঙ্গে বেশি মেলামেশা করে না সে, পড়াশোনার দিকেই ঝোঁক তার বেশি। সেই হাতে গোনা কয়েকজন বন্ধুদের নাম হলো - মৃণাল, রিমি, কাকলি, সেবিনা আর সুমন্ত । প্রথম বর্ষে তো রিমি আর সেবিনা ছাড়া কারো সঙ্গে কথাই বলতো না, দ্বিতীয় বর্ষ থেকে ধীরে ধীরে সবার সঙ্গে মিশতে শুরু করে। আর এখন তো তাদের ছয়জনের বন্ধুত্বের চর্চা কলেজে সবার মুখে মুখে শোনা যায়।
তাদের ছয়জনের মধ্যে যেমন পড়াশোনা নিয়ে আলোচনা হয় তেমনই জমিয়ে আড্ডাও হয় বেশ। ওদের কারো বাড়ি কলেজের কাছাকাছি নয়, কেউ আসে ট্রেনে তো কেউ বা বাসে। বাকিদের মতো তাদের বন্ধুত্বেও খুনসুটি পনা ছিল, ঝালমুড়ির ঠোঙা কাড়াকাড়ি, ক্যানটিনে আড্ডা সবই হতো, তবে সবার থেকে তাদের আলাদা করে যে জিনিসটা সেটা হলো তাদের একে অপরের প্রতি প্রান দেওয়া ভালোবাসা। একদিন কথায় কথায় নির্মলা বললো সে নাকি কোনোদিন নতুন মতিঝিল যায়নি, সোশাল মিডিয়ায় অনেককে সেখানকার ছবি পোস্ট করতে দেখেছে কিন্তু চাক্ষুষ প্রত্যক্ষ এখোনো হয়ে ওঠেনি। সেই সময় তো সবাই স্বাভাবিক কথাবার্তা বলে উঠে গেল সেখান থেকে কিন্তু নির্মলা জানে না পরে বাকি বন্ধুরা মিলে নির্মলাকে নতুন মতিঝিল নিয়ে যাবার পরিকল্পনা করে নিয়েছে। পরদিন কলেজে এসে নির্মলাকে সবাই চমকে দিলো। প্রথমেই সেবিনা বললো তাহলে রবিবার কখন বেরোবি বাড়ি থেকে? সঙ্গে সঙ্গে মৃণাল বলে উঠলো তোর সেই হলুদ পোষাক টা পড়ে আসিস, তোর গত জন্মদিনে যেটা পড়েছিলি, দারুন মানায় তোকে। নির্মলার কিছু বুঝতে পারার আগেই সুমন্ত বলে উঠলো বাড়ি ফেরার সময় যদি একটু দেরি হয়ে যায় তবে মামাকে স্টেশন পর্যন্ত ডেকে নিস। নির্মলা কিছু বুঝতে না পেরে বিকৃত মুখে প্রতিক্রিয়া দিলো, মানে? তোরা কি বলছিস আমি কিছুই বুঝলাম না। সঙ্গে সঙ্গে রিমি উত্তর দিলো বা..রে.. , ম্যাডামের জন্য কষ্ট করে মতিঝিল যাবার পরিকল্পনা করলাম আর ম্যাডাম বলে কিনা কিনা কিছুই বুঝতে পারছি না।
নির্মলা 'থ'। কথাটা শুনে খুশিতে নাচবে নাকি মামা রাজি হবে কিনা সেই চিন্তা করবে ভেবে পাচ্ছিলো না। তার এরকম খুশির মধ্যেও ফ্যাকাসে মুখ দেখে কাকলি বললো তোর মামাকে রাজি করানোর দায়িত্ব আমাদের, সেই চিন্তা তুই ছেড়ে দে। এবার আর খুশিতে চোখের জল থামতে পারলো না নির্মলা। রিমি, কাকলি আর সেবিনা কে জড়িয়ে ধরলো সে। পাশ থেকে মজার ছলে মৃণালের মন্তব্য - হ্যাঁ-হ্যাঁ, এত কষ্ট করে পরিকল্পনা টা আমি করলাম আর এখন ওরাই সব। ঠিক আছে তোরা একে অপরকে জড়িয়ে ধরে কাঁদ আমি চললাম। সুমন্ত সেই সুরে সুর মিলিয়ে বললো তোর সঙ্গে আমিও আছি ভাই , চল আমরা দুজনেই কেটে পড়ি। তখন চার জন আলিঙ্গন ছেড়ে একসঙ্গে বলে উঠলো ঐ পাগলারা শোন এইদিকে। নির্মলা কান্নার স্বরে হালকা ভারী আওয়াজে বলে উঠলো এক মিনিটও শান্তি দিবি না তাই না। এই বলে মৃণালের পিঠে জোরে ব্যাগের এক আঘাত করলো। সুমন্ত নির্মলা কে রাগানোর জন্য হেসে বললো মৃনাল তোর পিঠে ধুলো ছিল সেটা ব্যাগ দিয়ে ঝেরে দিলো।
হ্যাঁ এরকমই মিষ্টি তাদের সম্পর্ক।
মৃনাল যে শুধু এবারই নির্মলার জন্য এরকম পরিকল্পনা করল তাই নয় এর আগেও করেছে। তাদের সবার মধ্যে একটা অন্তরঙ্গ সম্পর্ক আছে ঠিকই কিন্তু ইদানীং মৃণাল নির্মলার প্রতি একটু বেশী আগ্রহ দেখাচ্ছে, একটু অন্যরকম আগ্রহ। আর সেটা সেবিনা খুব ভালোভাবেই লক্ষ্য করেছিল, ব্যাপার টা সে কাকলি কে জানালো। তারপর তারা দুজনেই ঠিক করলো ব্যাপার টা নিয়ে তারা আলাদা ভাবে মৃণালের সঙ্গে কথা বলবে। এই বিষয়ে আলোচনার জন্য মতিঝিল বেড়াতে যাবার দিনই ছিল মোক্ষম সময় , আর ঠিক সেটাই করলো তারা।
